Relationship and difference between LCD and TFT
Date:2019-08-16
Previously, we have an understanding of the inclusion relationship between TFT screen and IPS LCD screen. Compared with IPS LCD screen, what is the relationship and difference between TFT screen and TFT screen? Have you done any understanding? Today, let's share:
LCD and TFT LCD also have inclusion relationship, for example, LCD belongs to the parent, TFT LCD and IPS LCD belong to the offspring.
LCD refers to the part of e-book reader used to display the actual information content in order to communicate with users. At present, the display screen of e-book reader is mostly monochrome LCD, of course, some high-end products have gradually developed to color display. At the same time, the display screen of e-book reader is becoming larger and larger. Generally, its size can be represented by pixels, that is, how many points can be displayed.
TFT is a thin film transistor, which means that every liquid crystal pixel is driven by a thin film transistor integrated behind the pixel, so that the screen information can be displayed with high speed, high brightness and high contrast. It is one of the best LCD color display devices at present, and its effect is close to that of CRT display, It is now the mainstream display device on laptops and desktops. Each pixel of TFT is controlled by the integrated TFT, which is an active pixel. Therefore, not only the speed can be greatly improved, but also the contrast and brightness can be greatly improved, and the resolution can also reach a very high level.
TFT (thin film field effect transistor) is one of the active matrix liquid crystal displays. It can "actively" control each independent pixel on the screen, which can greatly improve the reaction time.
Generally, the response time of TFT is relatively fast, about 80 ms, and the viewing angle is large, generally up to 130 degrees, which is mainly used in high-end products. The so-called thin film field effect transistor (TFT) means that every pixel on the LCD is driven by the integrated TFT.
Thus, the screen information can be displayed with high speed, high brightness and high contrast. TFT belongs to active matrix liquid crystal display, which is driven by "active matrix" in technology. The method is to use the transistor electrode made of thin film technology, and use the scanning method to "actively pull" to control the on and off of any display point. When the light source irradiates, it first penetrates upward through the lower polarizing plate, and conducts light with the help of liquid crystal molecules, Through shading and light transmission to achieve the purpose of display.
