1、Analysis of Adverse Causes

Defective module 1 #/2 # retested as a flower screen, with a large amount of residual pollution on the surface of the module, 

as shown in the following figure:

Summary: The retest of the 2PCS defective module showed a flower screen, and a large amount of residual pollution was visible 

on the surface of the module and FOG.


Further confirm the cause of the defect under OM:

                 Severe corrosion in the binding area

Summary: Under OM, it can be seen that the COG binding area is severely contaminated, resulting in corrosion of all lines and leading to screen defects。


2. Defective module 3 #/4 # customer complaint black screen, our company lights it up and retests it to display normally:

Can light up normally when powered on

The solder joints are full, and there are   no open or short circuits in the wiring

Summary: Customer complaint: Both PCS modules can light up normally, and the solder pads and wiring are checked for abnormalities


1. Defective module 5 # retested as white screen:

Power on display shows a white screen

                 COG binding is good



FOG binding has no abnormalities

Summary: The defective module displayed a white screen when powered on, and the COG/FOG binding effect was good under OM microscopy, with no abnormal binding observed.


IC replacement verification: The display effect is normal after replacing the IC;

Power on display is normal


Summary: After replacing the new IC, the display effect is normal when powered on; Preliminary inference is that the white screen was damaged by static electricity during use.
