  Advantages of resistance touch screen:

  • The resistance of RTP is high. It can reach the level of pixels. The maximum resolution can reach 4096x4096.

  • The screen is not affected by dust, water vapor and oil, and can be used in a lower or higher temperature environment.

  • The resistor -type touch screen uses pressure sensing, which can be touched with any object. Even with gloves, it can be operated, and it can be used for handwriting recognition.

  • RTP technology is relatively mature and low cost.

  Disadvantages of resistance touch screen:

  • The resistance -type touch screen usually can only achieve single -point touch. If it is designed as a multi -touch, when two points are pressured at the same time, the pressure of the screen becomes unbalanced, resulting in errors in the touch, so the degree of implementation of multiple touch is difficult.

  • Resistance touch screens are more likely to damage the screen touch function and the appearance of the touch panel due to scratching.

  The type of RTP is mainly divided into four -wire resistor touch modules, five -wire resistor touch modules, G+G resistance touch modules.

  4-Wire RTP: Relatively speaking, it has a cost advantage. There is an ITO resistor coating in the inside of its touch layer to form an X -axis and Y axis. Once the pressure is generated, there will be changes in voltage, and the coordinates of the X and the Y axis will be calculated with a division.

  One of the disadvantages of a four -wire resistor screen is that some factors will cause the linearity and accuracy of the axis to decrease, including external environmental conditions and high frequency operations. It may need to be re -calibrated occasionally to maintain the accuracy of the touch point. In addition, because the top layer material is a thin film, after long-term use, the scratches and nail printing of the appearance will be obvious.



  5-Wire RTP: Structure and design concept are similar to the four-line RTP. The five -wire resistor touch screen uses only the bottom layer to create the X and Y axis coordinates. We call it a resistance layer. The top layer is used as a pure electric layer. It usually uses nickel gold coating material, which can better extend life. Because the top layer is not used for one of them, it leads to excellent stability, durability, sensitivity and reliability.

  Several benefits of the five -wire resistance screen are: even if the top layer is damaged, it can maintain a constant accuracy level, and the touch response and accuracy are not affected by harsh environmental conditions. But it is obvious that its cost is higher and the production is more difficult.



  G+G resistance touch module: Use RTP in certain harsh environments, because corrosive solvents and liquids will damage the ITO membrane material itself and will fail the screen touch.
