TFT LCD screens are transmitted screens that require a backlight source to provide brightness. Good backlight can provide uniform light, so that the display effect of TFT LCD module is more uniform and delicate. Brightness: 100~2000 nits. Due to the limitations of different sizes and different structures, the highest brightness limit of LCD display products is different. Most of our LCD screens can achieve 1000nits to meet the requirements for sunlight readability.
Color temperature: In TFT LCD screen, the most widely used backlight is white. There are about 5500K pure white, 3500K warm white (yellow ) and 6500K cool white. We can choose the right color LED backlight according to your preferences or UI Settings.
Driving circuit: The backlights for small size LCD screens require lower voltage and current, most motherboards can provide sufficient voltage and current value. However, some products with high brightness requirements, or large-size LCD screens, may have dozens of LED, so high voltage or large current are required, and backlight driver circuits are needed. We will provide drive circuits for these products to meet the customer's output requirements and shorten the cycle of secondary development.
Cables: The backlight cable is necessary, which can connect the LCD screen through FPC, and the backlight is controlled by a port; The backlight cable can also be a separate cable and control the backlight through a connector. It depends on your product structure. Of course, if the current is relatively large, we prefer to use the backlight cable to control, which will be more secure.
Heat dissipation: for high-brightness LCD products, the power consumption is often large, and the heat dissipation also increases, so it is very necessary to have a better heat dissipation structure. We should consider at the beginning of the backlight design with reasonable heat dissipation structure, increasing heat dissipation film, and using aluminum substrate, etc.
Power consumption: The power consumption of TFT LCD module backlight is very high. Arguably the highest power consumption of the LCM comes from the backlight. Between brightness and power consumption, some customers choose low power consumption, because the product may be hand-held, which requires battery power supply and low power consumption. As we know, high power consumption will affect the battery life of the product. Usually, we will increase TFT LCD module brightness by increasing the film material, such as DBEF, brightening film, etc., under the premise of unchanged power consumption.
