1、 Firstly, please check whether the connection interface is loose or not, and then check any conflict in the serial port and the interrupt number，if there is a conflict, we should adjust the resource and avoid the conflict.
2、 Secondly, we check whether there are cracks on the touch screen surface. If there are cracks, the touch screen should be replaced in time.
3、It is also necessary to check whether there is dirt on the screen surface, if there is, remove it with a soft cloth.
4、Observe and check whether the indicator light on the control box is working properly. When it is normal, the indicator light is green and flashing.
If the above 4 cases are all normal, we can use the replacement method to check the touch screen. The first step is to replace the control box, the second step is to replace the touch screen, and the last step is to replace the host computer.
If it is a resistive touch screen, the following maintenance should be carried out:
1、Please check whether the connection of the touch screen is correct. One of the connections connect to the keyboard interface of the host computer (which takes 5V working voltage from the keyboard interface to the touch screen). Please check the connection.
2、Observe the indicator light of the control box, If the light is not bright or the light is red, it means the control box is broken, please replace the control box.
3、If the above 2 cases are ruled out, please try to delete and unload the touch screen driver software, reboot the computer and reinstall the driver, or update the driver with a newer and higher version.
4、Please check whether there is any device in the host computer conflicts with serial port resources, check each hardware device and adjust it. For example, when some network cards are installed, the default IRQ is 3, which conflicts with the IRQ of COM2. At this time, we should change the IRQ of network cards to the idle IRQ. Probably the computer motherboard isn’t compatible with the control box, please replace the host computer or the motherboard.
5、If the touch screen has been used for a long time (3-4 years) and some areas of the touch screen has no response to touch, most likely possibility is that the touch screen is broken, please replace the touch screen.

2) It is also possible that the touch screen reflection stripe is partially scraped off by a hard object, it will not be repaired.
The touch screen works normally but the computer cannot operate

The touch screen works normally after all tests were done, but the computer doesn’t work when the touch screen is connected to the host.
1) One possibility: Before the host computer starts to load the touch screen driver, the touch screen control card already receives the operation signal. Solution: turn off the power and reboot the computer.
2) It is also possible that the touch screen driver version is too old. Solution: Download and install the latest driver software.
