TFT LCD set semiconductor switch for every pixels and the processing technology is similar to large-scale integration.Because of every pixel can be directly controlled by point pulse,therefore every point is relatively dependent and can be continue controlled, thus TFT LCD color can be more vivid with this technology improving the reaction speed and precisely control gray scale.
The function of different components:
Light spread: through it, the light of backlight can be evenly distributed.
Storage capacitor: Its storage is about 0.5PF,two electrodes are connected with transparent display electrode and transparent public electrode.
Because the storage of transparent display electrode and transparent public electrode is about 0.1PF, which can not support refreshing picture when the refreshing rate is 60HZ and hold time is 16MS, so the storage capacitor is necessary.
TFT: Thin-film transistor, a switch component, decides whether liquid crystal charged or not. TFT only decide on or off, when it is on,the output voltage will recharge liquid crystal and storage capacitor, but the strength of the voltage is depended by the LCD drive circuit.
Row electrode: also called scan electrode or grid electrode, connecting with grid electrodes of TFT in every pixels.
Column electrode: also called signal electrode or drain electrode bus, connecting with drain electrodes of TFT in every pixels.
Glass bottom plate: used for isolation.
Polarized glass plate: inner polarized glass plate is horizontal opening,outer polarized glass plate is back opening.
Transparent display electrode: connecting with electrodes of every TFT,forming charging electrode with transparent public electrode to charge liquid crystal in every subpixels.
Color filter: a glass consist of many transistors which lies between transparent public electrode and polarized glass plate. The light pass trough the liquid crystal and color filter to form picture. Three primary colors, acting as independent point as subpixels with different gray grades to form one pixel, array horizontal on color filter. And because of these pixels in different gray grades and spatial color mixture principle, a colorful picture can be displayed
