  About LCD flexible circuit board (FPC) customization:

  Flexible circuit board (FPC) is made of polyimide or mylar film as the substrate, with excellent curvature, light and flexible, and high density of wiring. The function of the FPC is to connect the LCD screen and the controller board, so as to realize the screen display function. As for the FPC customization, we mainly need to check the PIN definition of the LCD screen, and the length of the cable, etc. The two ends of the FPC are designed to be pluggable row needle shape, and there are two ways of connection: plugging or welding at the ends of the products. FPC cables have certain requirements for flexibility, so the base material is made of tortude-resistant calendering copper. In addition, there are oxidation resistance, high temperature resistance and other requirements in the process of FPC customization.


  About signal convertor board customization:

  For the customization of the signal convertor board, we mainly focus on three key points: input signal, output signal, and resolution. For signal switching, there are not only conversions between different interfaces, such as MIPI to TTL, LVDS to TTL, PI to RGB, and so on, but also conversions between different PIN definitions, such as EDP30PIN to EDP45PIN, LVDS 20PIN to LVDS 40PIN, and so on. Meanwhile, we need to pay special attention to the maximum resolution which the signal convertor board can support. In terms of technology, we need to pay attention to the following points:

  1. The output driving voltage of the driver board needs to be consistent with the voltage of the LCD screen, usually supporting screens above 5V.

  2. The output resolution of the driver board needs to be consistent with the resolution of the LCD screen.

  About capacitive key press panel customization of LCD screen:

  We are all familiar with capacitive touch screens, which are widely used in industrial and commercial displays, to achieve touch operation and display function. However, some customers' products have the demand for key press, such as some industrial handheld products, or medical displays , the left and right sides of vehicle central control screens, there will be capacitive key press with schematic patterns. This is the need to open mold and custom capacitive key press panel. Let's firstly understand its principle. The human body is a conductor, and there will be a capacitor between any two conductors. The size of the capacitor is related to the conductive nature of the object, the size of the electrodes, and other factors. The two copper areas between the PCB board are the two electrodes of the capacitor, which is equal to a capacitor. When our fingers are close to the PCB, the capacitance will be changed due to the electrical conductivity of the human body. When the chip of touch key detects a large increase in capacitance, it outputs a switching signal. On the PCB of touch button, there are capacitive plate, ground wire, wiring, isolation area and other components, so as to form the capacitive environment of the LCD touch button.

  In the process of capacitive key panel customization, we need to pay attention to the following technical points.

  1) For example, there can be no metal within 1mm above the button, and the metal within 50mm of the touch button must be grounded, otherwise the metal will affect the sensitivity of the button.

  2) Secondly, the touch button PCB is attached to the glass cover lens of the screen through double-sided glue. The thickness of the double-sided glue should be 0.1-0.15 mm. Technically, there is no air between the touch button PCB and the glass cover lens. Because the air will have a great impact on the sensitivity of the touch button, so the process level must be strictly checked.
