The TFT LCD is not a touch screen. TFT, which stands for "Thin Film Transistor," is a type of active matrix liquid crystal display. Its main feature is that each pixel is driven by a thin-film transistor integrated behind the pixel, enabling high-speed, high-brightness, and high-contrast display of screen information. On the other hand, a touch screen is a sensor-based LCD that can receive input signals from a stylus or other devices. When a graphic button on the screen is touched, the tactile feedback system on the screen can drive various connecting devices according to pre-programmed programs, which can replace mechanical button panels and create vivid audio-visual effects through LCD screens.
In simple terms, TFT LCDs are responsible for displaying images, while touch screens are responsible for receiving user touch inputs. In some devices, such as smartphones and tablets, these two components may be used together, but they remain two separate components.
